On the Navigation page of the dashboard, you can add, edit, and remove links from your website's navigation bar. Follow the instructions below to manage your navigation effectively.
How to Add External Links as Tabs or Buttons
- Click the "Add External Link" button at the top of the Navigation page in the dashboard.
- Select a title from the dropdown, or type your own if you don’t see the one you need listed (this is how the link will appear on your website).
- Paste your link into the URL box.
- If you'd like the link to be a button instead of a regular tab, you can click the checkbox next to “Render as a button on the navigation bar”.
- We recommend a maximum of two buttons to avoid crowding the navigation with buttons and only using them for things like Book Now or Shop.
- Click save in the top right corner of the dashboard and then click “Publish.”
How to Remove Tabs and Buttons
- Click the pencil icon next to the tab or button you’d like to remove.
- Note: Default pages (i.e., Contact) can only be removed by the Glammatic team.
- If you’d like to hide your services page, you’ll need to select “None” as your services display option on the Services page of your dashboard.
- Click "save" in the top right corner of the dashboard and then click “Publish”.
Creating a Link Group
If you want to group specific pages under one dropdown to save space on your navigation bar, you can create a Link Group:
- On the Navigation page, click “Add Link Group”.
- Name your Link Group (this will appear as the dropdown title).
- Drag and drop the pages you want to include in the group into the Link Group section.
- Click save and then publish to update your navigation bar.
Note:
- Ensure your page descriptions are updated for SEO benefits.
- Page descriptions are displayed under your website's links on search engines and help with search engine optimization, accessibility, and visibility.
